Fallout Inspired Hike at Occoneechee Speedway

Join Geek Fit Network for a Fallout-themed hike at Occoneechee State Park! Get ready to embark on a fun 4-mile trail along the banks of the Eno River, where history and nature come together uniquely. We'll explore the remains of the Occoneechee Motor Speedway, the only dirt track to have hosted NASCAR races in North Carolina, and take inspiration from the post-apocalyptic world of the popular video game franchise, Fallout!

As we hike through the historic trail, we'll discover the abandoned grandstands, turnstiles, and other remnants of the once-thriving speedway. We'll take breaks to catch our breath to discuss our favorite Fallout games and related TV series and just hang out in the glory of the world that was! Make sure to dress appropriately for the hike, wear comfortable hiking shoes, and bring plenty of water and snacks. Also, feel free to get into character with cosplay (no weapons please)!
